Lorraine Ahearn founded Cold Type Press in 2009 as a small independent book publisher and distributor specializing in clothbound journalism titles.
The press employs former newspaper writers, editors and designers, and for the past two winters, organized and was the primary underwriter of two community benefits, the Santa Book Bash for the Interactive Resource Center for the homeless of Greensboro, and the Read for Life benefit at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.
We also participated in the UNC-Greensboro Will Read for Food event.
